In-Store Event: A Practically Mindful Book Event

Event Details:

This will be our first in-store author event since COVID began, so we’re excited to be hosting Dr. Sazima. Seating will be upstairs in our Flamingo Lounge; however, if you cannot climb stairs, we will be live streaming the event on our first floor and will have chairs set up there. Masks are required inside our bookstore at all times. Should you not wish to attend in person, feel free to watch this event on our Instagram account (CapitalBooksOnK) at the event time.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Greg Sazima, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist, educator and writer, based in Northern California. He teaches physicians-in-training at the Stanford/O’Connor Family Medicine Residency Program. He has developed mindfulness curricula for adults and children. 

His work on mental health issues has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Sacramento Bee, Philadelphia Inquirer, and other media. His podcast, “A Practically Mindful Moment” is available on all major podcast sites. His blog, “Your Mindfulness Toolkit,” is featured at PsychologyToday.com. His volunteer work includes service on the Boards of Directors of Capital Public Radio and Snowline Hospice, a non-profit palliative care provider in the Sacramento/Sierra Foothills region.
