#GoalTopia Virtual Scavenger Hunt

Check out this post with Debra Eckerling author of Your Goal Guide

We are all searching for #GoalTopia. #GoalTopia is that perfect world where you are achieving your goals and living the life you desire. But to get what you want, you need to know what you want. Even better is to be able to see the reality you desire.

To help you find and visualize your #GoalTopia, I’m going to send you on a Virtual Scavenger Hunt.

What items will you look for? That’s up to you.

Scavenger Hunt Step 1: Brainstorm

Name 26 things you want, one for each letter of the alphabet. Use your own paper or grab the worksheet.

When you finish, you can move on to the next step.

Scavenger Hunt Step 2: Choose

Choose 10 meaningful items from your list. Hint: You can batch similar items together. For instance, if you listed D for Dog, L for Labrador, and P for Puppy, then a Labrador Puppy definitely makes the list.

Use your own paper or grab the worksheet.

Now that you know what you want, go find it…

Scavenger Hunt Step 3: Find

Find your 10 items. Grab an image that represents each item on your list. Take photos or search online.

Some images will be of actual things or situations – a new car or home, spending time as a family to represent work-life balance.

Others will serve as representations: your book on the best seller list, your product in a store, or you speaking to a sold-out crowd.

Gather your pics, and then move on to the next step.

Scavenger Hunt Step 4: Create

Create a collage using the images of your #GoalTopia. Upload the pics and insert them in a word or image file. You can also use an online photo resource, such as Canva or Adobe Spark, that has collage templates.

If you are an old-school scrapbooker, download or cut out images from magazines, and create your #GoalTopia collage in a more analog fashion.

There’s one more step.

Scavenger Hunt Step 5: Title Your #GoalTopia

Use a theme song, phrase, or motto. For example, choose a song describing your ideal life or a phrase that sums up your mission. You could also fill in the blank: “I am ________ (Queen of THIS, King of THAT).”

Add your title to your #GoalTopia collage.

Set Yourself Up for Success

Want to stay inspired and motivated? Put your #GoalTopia where you will see it on a regular basis. Keep #GoalTopia in your office, on your computer, as background on your phone, somewhere meaningful, or all of the above.

What’s Next?

Once you know what you want, create a plan to turn your dreams into reality. Read Your Goal Guide, participate in my communities, and/or reach out for support.

Good luck finding #GoalTopia. You can do it!
